FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT AUTOMATIC POOL CLEANERS1) WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF AUTOMATIC POOL CLEANERS? There are three different styles of cleaners. Pressure - Side, Suction - Side, and Robotic. 2) HOW DO PRESSURE-SIDE CLEANERS WORK? The pool cleaner hose will attach to your pools return. This is where return flow enters into your pool. The force of this water creates a vacuum, and moves the cleaner around your pool. All objects that are vacuumed up enter into a bag or goes into your pools filter. * Eliminates clogging of your filter with leaves and other trash. *As it travels around your pool, it distributes the pools filtered water. 3) HOW DO SUCTION-SIDE CLEANERS WORK? The pool cleaner hose will attach to your skimmer, which generates suction from the pool pump. These automatic pool cleaners randomly move around in your pool., and all debis that is vacuumed up goes into your pools filter. * Installs in minutes and easy to operate. * Very dependable cleaners, and efficient to use. 4) HOW DO ROBOTIC CLEANERS WORK? Most of these cleaners can be programmed, and many work by remote control. These cleaners do not use any part of your pools filter or pump system. They have their own filtration system.. * Less wear and tear on your pools operating system. *Fastest of the auto cleaners. *Has it's own self contained filter. 5) CAN WE USE THE POOL WHILE THE CLEANER IS OPERATING? Yes, but it is not reccomended. It is ideal to operate the cleaner when no one is in the pool, and not disturbing the cleaners function, and pattern. 6) HOW OFTEN SHOULD I RUN THE POOLS FILTER? Depends on the season. Summer / Peak season you should run the filter a minimum of 8 hrs. The more time you run the filter, the less debris ends up on the bottom.
